Boudoir with Ivey Photo

The Step-by-Step Process

STUDIO WEBSITE Images for Website2 (2).png

Boudoir at Ivey Photo Studio isn’t just about capturing beautiful images.
It’s about walking into a space designed just for you—and walking out feeling seen, celebrated, and a little more in love with who you already are.

We call it a luxury experience, but make no mistake:
this is also the best value in boudoir—because what you see is exactly what you get.

There are no hidden fees, no surprise upsells, and no emotional pressure during your ordering appointment. You’ll receive my full pricing guide before you ever commit to a date. Want to upgrade or add products? You totally can—but you’ll never be pushed to. This experience is about trust, transparency, and a little bit of magic.

I do things differently—and my clients come back again and again because they feel the difference.

Boudoir Basics

1. Inquire

You’re welcome to reach out at any stage.
Whether you’re brand new to boudoir, ready to book your session, or somewhere in between—just needing to talk it through with the photographer first—I’m always happy to connect and make this feel a little more personal, a little less intimidating.

That said, it helps to know what kind of experience this really is.

This is a luxury, full-service session designed with care and intention.
Here’s what’s included when you book with Ivey Photo Studio:

  • Professional hair and makeup by one of my trusted studio artists

  • A detailed prep guide to help you feel confident and ready

  • Full posing direction throughout your entire session—no modeling experience needed

  • A luxury print product collection to bring your images to life in a tangible, lasting way

If you’re looking for a quick shoot-and-go session or are only after a few digital images at the lowest possible price, this might not be the right fit—and that’s okay.

But if you're craving something more—if you want to feel empowered, celebrated, and deeply seen—then this experience may be exactly what you've been looking for.

And if you're one of my returning clients?
You already know the vibe. Feel free to skip this part and head straight to the booking calendar.

2. Prep Like a Queen

Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive everything you need to feel fully prepared—including a personalized prep guide with timeline tips, outfit ideas, and confidence-boosting reminders. Think of it as your permission slip to focus on you.

Many clients choose to make the prep part of the experience—treating themselves to new lingerie, a manicure, a fresh haircut or color, or even a solo self-care day before the session.

You don’t need to arrive confident.
You don’t need to arrive “ready.”
You just need to show up—we’ll take it from there.

This is your time to relax, slow down, and lean into the experience.
No detail is too small. No question is too much.

3. Studio Session

When you arrive at the studio, everything is already in place—your prep is done, your playlist is queued, and your glam team is ready to go.

You’ll start with professional hair and makeup from one of our in-house artists (meet the Boss Babes). This time is about more than getting camera-ready—it’s about grounding yourself, shaking off nerves, and stepping into your moment.

Once we begin your session, you’ll be guided through every pose, every set, every outfit. No experience necessary. I’ll coach you through every movement, adjust your angles, and hype you the entire time.

You’ll never be asked to figure it out alone—and you'll never be expected to perform.
We create the energy together, and it’s always real, affirming, and just the right amount of fun.

Studio time typically includes 1.5 hours of hair and makeup, followed by approximately 1.5 hours of shooting time.
That gives us three hours start to finish—plenty of space for multiple looks, breaks as needed, and the kind of session that flows naturally without feeling rushed.

4. Same-Day Reveal and One-on-One Private Ordering Session

Once your session wraps, you’ll take a short studio break while I prepare your same-day preview—because there’s nothing quite like seeing your images while you’re still riding that post-session high.

The studio is located in Chattanooga’s vibrant Southside, so whether you want to grab a coffee, a quick bite, or stroll through a local antique shop, I’ve got plenty of nearby favorites to recommend. You’ll know exactly what time to return—and I’ll be there waiting for you.
Think of me as your boudoir concierge.

When you return, we’ll go through your images together. You’ll have the opportunity to choose your favorites, build your product collection, and relive the magic we just created.

There’s no hard sell. No hidden pricing. No pressure to upgrade. You’ll already know the investment ahead of time—so this part is all about celebrating what we captured and curating what you love most.

Whether you leave with a luxe keepsake album, a framed print for your nightstand, or an entire wall gallery, your images will be preserved in a way that honors how powerful this experience truly was. And trust me—you’re going to want to come back. Most of my girls do.

5. Final Edits + Delivery

After your reveal session, I’ll immediately get to work on final retouching and custom product design.

Let’s talk about editing real quick: while I refine your images with care, I don’t redesign your body. I don’t believe in extreme retouching or body modification—because that’s not what this experience is about.
My general rule?
If it’ll be gone in a couple weeks (blemishes, bruises, etc.), I’ll edit it off.
But if it’s a permanent part of you? Honey, that stays. The art reflects the life—and you are already a masterpiece.

Every piece of artwork from Ivey Photo Studio is created with intention.
From your body as the artwork to the fabric tones, layouts, and finishes—everything is custom. I’ve never designed the same album twice. That’s not just because I like variety—it’s because you’re one of one.

You’re not just ordering photos.
You’re creating art—with me beside you every step of the way.
This is empowering.
This is personal.
This is your essence brought into tangible form.

When your finished artwork arrives from the lab, you'll be invited back to the studio for a pickup appointment. If you're local and prefer delivery, I’m happy to ship for a small additional fee. And if you traveled to me from out of town? I’ll cover the shipping—no problem.

This may be the final step of the process...
But it’s never the last one.

Once you’ve experienced boudoir like this…
you’ll never see yourself the same way again.
And if you’re like most of my clients?
You’ll be back.

(I’ve built a whole business on it. Just saying.)

Maybe you thought you would never do this.

Boudoir happens in stages—sometimes it starts with a question, sometimes with a full-body yes.
WHEREVER YOU ARE, THERE'S A PATH FORWARD.

but i bet you always wanted to...
